How it works
How the Nockout GPS tracking nock works
Swap the nock, take the shot, then open the app and walk to your arrow or bolt. Here is each step, and what we are still testing.
-
Install
Nockout replaces the nock on your arrow or crossbow bolt. It presses into the back of the shaft like a standard nock, and the head sits flush behind the end of the shaft.
-
Shoot
Take the shot the way you always do. The tracker rides in the nock, sealed and potted against the shock.
-
Watch it fly
A green LED glows through the nock, so you can follow your shot in flight and spot it in low light.
-
Find it with the app
Open the Nockout app and follow the pointer to your arrow or bolt. When you’re close, you’ll be able to flash the nock from the app.
The Nockout app is in development alongside the hardware.
Straight talk
What we’re still testing.
Nockout is in development. Some answers only come from testing real hardware, and we won’t guess at them:
- How the tracker wakes up for the shot
- When the LED turns on and how long it stays lit
- How it charges, and how long the battery lasts
- How far away it can be found
We’ll publish each one when it’s tested. Follow along on the updates page.
