How it works

Cutaway concept render of the Nockout nock in a carbon crossbow bolt. The nock head glows green and holds the antenna and radio. The battery and board sit inside the shaft.

The problem

Last light. Thick cover. No bolt.

You made the shot. Now you’re searching leaves with a flashlight for a bolt that cost real money, and maybe for a blood trail that’s going cold. Lighted nocks help when you can see them. When you can’t, you’re guessing.

  • Lost bolts

A pass-through can bury a bolt in leaves, brush or dirt where a flashlight never finds it.

  • Fading light

The best shots come at dusk. So does the search.

  • Cold trails

Every minute spent guessing is a minute the trail gets harder to follow.

How it works

Swap. Shoot. Walk to it.

  1. Swap the nock.

Nockout replaces the half-moon nock on your crossbow bolt.

  2. Take the shot.

The tracker rides in the nock, sealed and potted against the shock.

  3. Walk to it.

Open the Nockout app and follow the arrow to your bolt.

The Nockout app is in development alongside the hardware.

The design

Built where the signal gets out.

  1. Drop-in nock.

Designed to fit standard crossbow bolts with half-moon nocks.

  2. Antenna where the signal gets out.

Carbon blocks radio signals, so the antenna lives in the nock head, outside the shaft.

  3. Built for the shot.

Electronics are sealed and potted so the shot’s shock doesn’t break them.

  4. Lighted nock.

A green LED glows through the nock, so you can watch the bolt fly and spot it at dusk.

FAQ

Questions hunters ask first.

What is Nockout?

A crossbow nock with a GPS tracker built in. After the shot, the app shows you where your bolt is.

Is it available now?

Not yet. Nockout is in development, and we're launching on Kickstarter. Join the waitlist to hear first.

Does it light up?

Yes. Nockout has a built-in green LED that glows through the nock, so you can follow your bolt in flight and spot it in low light. With the app, you'll also be able to flash it when you're close.

Which bolts does it fit?

Our first target is standard crossbow bolts with half-moon nocks. We'll publish a tested compatibility list before the campaign.
